I’ve been using Photoshop for 16 years and as much as I love the features as a whole, I don’t really have time for learning new tools – esp the latest version. Here’s the part that kept me from the upgrade for a long time – CS5 required registration as a “professional” user and was limited to the number of grandkids I could have in the audience (4), which I am not sure I can afford. Sorry about that – but it was really loud at my monthly group photo shoots!

I’ve owned a copy of Photoshop for over 12 years and right now when I need to edit a page layout, I use Photoshop Elements. I’m happy with it because it is easy to use and makes doing it a breeze. I have their plan where you can get the entire CS suite for a $25 annual fee. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced application that will do everything from cropping, resizing, and touching up your photos then I highly recommend and I recommend checking out sucuniverse.com .
I would highly recommend upgrading from CS6 to this version. Photoshop is incredible in its use of the computer’s “intelligence” (and I mean that in the good way) in order to “invent” photo editing that was far less sophisticated in the earlier versions. I used to format Word documents for email, but that’s because it’s an industry standard. Even those who remain on earlier versions of Photoshop have no excuse for not upgrading!
